Frequently asked questions
How do I restore my Premium purchase?
Go to Settings → Premium → Restore Purchases. Your purchase is tied to your App Store or Google Play account and can be restored on any device signed in to the same account.
The date shown does not match what I expect. What should I do?
BahireHasab uses the Ethiopian Orthodox calendar rules. If you believe there is a discrepancy, please use Settings → Data & Trust → Report Discrepancy to submit a report. We review every report and update the calendar dataset accordingly.
How do I enable or disable fasting reminders?
Go to Settings → Reminders. You can toggle daily fasting reminders on or off and choose when you want to be notified — morning, evening, or the day before.
Which fasting traditions does the app support?
BahireHasab supports the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo and Eritrean Orthodox Tewahedo traditions, including the full weekly fasting cycle, major fasts (Tsom Nebiyat, Tsom Apostolat, Filseta, Hudadi), and all major feasts (Timkat, Meskel, Enkutatash, and more).
Can I use the app without an internet connection?
Yes. The calendar, date converter, and reminders work fully offline. The app periodically fetches calendar updates in the background when a connection is available, but this is not required for daily use.
How do I change the display language?
Go to Settings → Language. The app supports English, Amharic, Tigrinya, German, Swedish, Dutch, and French.
Why am I seeing ads?
The free tier includes banner advertisements to fund ongoing development. Upgrading to Premium removes all ads permanently.
I upgraded to Premium but ads are still showing.
Try Settings → Premium → Restore Purchases. If the issue persists, force-quit the app and reopen it. If ads still appear after restoring, contact us at imadeinfotech@gmail.com with your order details.
How do I convert between Ethiopian and Gregorian dates?
Tap the Converter tab at the bottom of the screen. Select a date in either calendar system and the app will instantly show the equivalent date in the other.
How do I delete my data?
All your preferences are stored locally on your device. Uninstalling the app removes all app data. There are no server-side accounts to delete. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
