Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your use of BahireHasab, an Ethiopian Orthodox fasting and feast calendar application developed and published by IMADE INFOTECH PRIVATE LIMITED (“we”, “our”, or “us”), 3A, Third floor, Indus Alliance - Elite Apartment, Choolaimedu, 9 and 11, Bajanai Koil 2nd Street, Chennai, Tamil Nadu 600094, India.

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not download or use the App.

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, iMade Infotech grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App on devices you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial purposes.

You may not:

• Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the App
• Distribute, sublicense, rent, lease, or sell the App
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Remove or alter any proprietary notices in the App
• Use the App in any way that violates applicable law or third-party rights

Payment

BahireHasab offers optional features and support purchases through one-time in-app purchases only. The App does not offer subscriptions, auto-renewing purchases, or free trials. All purchases are processed by Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android), and payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account at confirmation of purchase. We do not handle or store payment card information.

Premium Unlocks (One-Time)

Premium features — such as removing advertisements and unlocking calendar export — are sold as one-time, non-consumable purchases. Once purchased, they remain unlocked on your account and can be re-activated on a new device or after reinstalling by tapping “Restore Purchases”. There is no recurring charge.

Support Tips (One-Time)

The App also offers optional one-time support tips that help fund continued development and maintenance of the calendar. Tips are voluntary, are not required to use any feature of the App, and do not grant additional functionality beyond a thank-you acknowledgement.

Refunds

Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google under their respective refund policies. We do not process refunds directly.

BahireHasab provides Ethiopian Orthodox calendar information — fasting days, feast days, saints' commemorations, and related observances — based on traditional Bahire Hasab calculations and published ecclesiastical sources.

This information is provided for reference and personal use only. While we strive for accuracy and update the dataset regularly, we make no warranty that the calendar data is error-free or identical to any official church publication. For matters of religious obligation, always consult your local priest, archdiocese, or authoritative ecclesiastical source.

If you notice a discrepancy, please report it through the App (Settings → Data & Trust → Report Discrepancy). We review all reports and correct errors in future releases.

The App allows you to export calendar events as an ICS file to your device's calendar application. These files are generated on-device and shared directly to your chosen calendar app. iMade Infotech does not receive, store, or transmit ICS file contents.

The App and its original content, features, design, graphics, and code are and remain the exclusive property of iMade Infotech and its licensors, protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

“BahireHasab” references the traditional Ethiopian astronomical and ecclesiastical calculation system of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church. We make no claim to exclusive rights over the historical or religious name itself.

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.

We do not warrant that calendar data is complete, accurate, or current for any particular jurisdiction, diocese, or tradition. Calendar practices may vary between regional churches and synods.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IMADE INFOTECH AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND PARTNERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, RESULTING FROM:

• Your use of, or inability to use, the App
• Any errors or omissions in the calendar data or other App content
• Unauthorised access to or alteration of your device or data
• Any other matter related to the App

Our total liability for all claims shall not exceed the amount you paid, if any, in the twelve months preceding the claim.

The App is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Your use of those platforms is subject to Apple's and Google's respective Terms of Service. In the event of conflict between Apple's App Store Terms and these Terms, Apple's terms shall govern for iOS users.

For iOS-specific obligations relating to Apple's role as distributor and third-party beneficiary, see Section 13 below.

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without notice, for conduct that violates these Terms or is harmful to users, iMade Infotech, or third parties.

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. Premium entitlements can be restored after re-installing by tapping “Restore Purchases”.

We may modify these Terms at any time. The updated Terms will be reflected by a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Tamil Nadu, India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, except where consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction provide otherwise.

The following terms apply to your use of the iOS version of the App distributed via the Apple App Store:

• These Terms are concluded between you and iMade Infotech only, not with Apple Inc. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content.
• Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance or support services with respect to the App.
• In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price for the App (if any) to you. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the App.
• Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the App or your possession and use of the App, including: (i) product liability claims; (ii) any claim that the App fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement; or (iii) claims arising under consumer protection, privacy, or similar legislation.
• In the event of any third-party claim that the App or your possession and use of the App infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, iMade Infotech (not Apple) will be solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement, and discharge of any such claim.
• Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms. Upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
• You represent and warrant that (i) you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo, or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a “terrorist supporting” country; and (ii) you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
